1up Blog #100: Blog #100! (10/05/2012)

It took a while, but I finally made it to my 100th blog! Over the years, I’ve seen many of my 1up friends reach this milestone, knowing it would take me forever to get there at the rate I’m writing blogs. It took almost a decade (It almost seems to have taken longer), but I’ll take what I have.
I might as well use this opportunity to run down some of my other 1up stats:
+ 108K page views. Not bad for someone who doesn’t blog that often. Granted, I wish a portion of these so called viewers would bother leaving a comment!
+ Over 3000 comments, easily my most impressive stat on the site. Apparently, the comments only go back to 2005, but it is cool seeing the title of my first comment, an unintentional homage to Ryan Scott: "what the hell."
+ Nearly 300 board/club posts. I never used this aspect of the site much, especially since they’ve kind of died down in activity. I fondly remember the time when 1up’s community was split into the two camps of the bloggers and the … boarders? Anyway, crossing that line onto the other side was like seeing a whole new 1up!
+ Almost a quarter million points… a meaningless number as far as high scores are concerned (1up’s point system is highly exploitable), but it is nice watching that number slowly rise through the years.
This year I also managed to get one of my blogs featured on the site for the first time! I always wanted 1up to feature one of my blogs, but perhaps because I have never been much of a frequent blogger, it never happened until now. I can now check that off of my bucket list!

Anyway, which I could share a cake with y’all to celebrate!
But I’m not done yet! What’s a blog without the usual "What I’ve Been Playing" spiel? Interestingly enough, the last four games I’ve played were games from the year 2007! Jeanne D’Arc, Blue Dragon, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, and Ratchet and Clank Future. I don’t know why it took me so long to get to these games (Ratchet and Clank came with my PS3 over a year and a half ago!), but apparently Bioshock and Halo 3 distracted me enough at the time to ignore them!
I also just bought Final Fantasy XIII-2: Collectors Edition for the bargain bin price of $27. Based on the demo I’m expecting nothing from the music, though it is ironic it ends up the first Final Fantasy soundtrack I own. Still, I think the Amano artwork will make up for that.

So there you have it. One hundred blogs of history and I couldn’t even milk it long enough to be a full length blog! Till next time, later!
