1up Blog #21: Halo Zero (12/13/2005)

This isn't an actual prequel to the series, but it's still a good hold-over. Halo Zero is a fan-made game that takes the weapons, enemies and music of the Halo series (the music, which I must add is second only to Final Fantasy VII in that category) and it sort of takes the story of the Fall of Reach book.

This game is awesome. It is easily the best game I've gotten for free and I think many would agree. It has amazing detail for a free game (see pic below). The sound is of course, top notch and the weapons are well implemented. The side-scrolling gameplay is a bit wierd, but after a while, you'll get used to it. It even has a bunch of multiplayer levels.

He, he, look at the grunts!

I found it on a recently released news story on 1up(I don't know the actual site, but trust me, it will be well worth the little effort needed).

I can't really figure out an easy way to get the multiplayer working online, so if you figure something out, tell me.
